The short answer
We act as the marketing agency for Sunshine Coast businesses, covering the website, search, paid ads, social and the support underneath them, with one account manager across the lot. All 32 staff are in house. Retainers run month to month and projects are fixed scope and fixed price.
A lot of good competitors, and only four positions to give out
The Sunshine Coast is a region of small businesses, and the barrier to starting one is about as low as it gets in Australia. A ute, a licence and a phone number is a mobile mechanic. A trailer and a pressure washer is an exterior cleaning business. The population keeps climbing, the estates at Caloundra South and Palmview keep handing over, and each wave of arrivals brings people who moved up from Brisbane and started something.
The result is a crowded field of capable operators, most of them about your size, chasing customers in the same handful of town centres. Each of those centres has its own map pack, so there are four visible positions per town in a category that might hold sixty businesses. Being the eleventh best plumber in Buderim earns nothing.
Beating that field is rarely about a clever idea. It is about doing several ordinary things properly, at once, for long enough that the operators who started when you did have drifted off to something else.
The businesses that win a crowded market are the ones that kept going
Look at whoever holds the top map position in your town and category. They are usually not more talented than you. They have a profile maintained for years, reviews arriving most weeks rather than in a panic, a site that loads on a phone, pages for the towns they actually service, and an ad account somebody adjusts rather than sets and forgets.
None of that is difficult. All of it is continuous, and continuity is what breaks when your marketing is spread across four suppliers.
The common Coast arrangement is a web person who built the site, a friend of a friend doing the social, an SEO retainer bought at a business breakfast, and whoever answers the phone updating the Google profile when they remember. Each might be good. The problem is the seams between them, and the fact that you are the only person who sees the whole picture, which makes you the project manager of your own marketing on top of running the business.
Watch what happens when prices go up. That change has to reach the website, the profile, the ad copy, the landing page the ads point at and the social bio. With four suppliers it reaches two within a week, one after a reminder, and the fourth when a customer complains about a price from nine months ago.
The other product of four suppliers is a blame surface. Leads are down, the ad person says the site does not convert, the web person says the traffic is poor quality, and the SEO retainer sends a chart with an arrow going up. Nobody is lying. Nobody is accountable either.
Where a single specialist is still the right answer.
If you need one channel done well and nothing else, hire the best specialist you can find and keep them. One team earns its money when the work genuinely spans the site, search, paid and the systems behind them, because then coordination is real work and someone has to do it.
What sits under the one roof, and what you actually get
Designers and developers, a search team, paid media, social, and the managed support crew who answer in 1 to 3 hours when the booking form stops sending on a Friday. If a campaign needs a new page, our developers build it rather than you waiting on a third party quote.
Your account manager is one named person who knows what you sell and what happened last month. They hold one number agreed at the start, usually cost per enquiry or booked jobs rather than traffic, and the monthly report opens with it. Work moves between local search, Google Ads and social as the numbers change, without a new supplier conversation each time.
Towns we run accounts across
Caloundra, Kawana, Birtinya, Buderim, Sippy Downs, Mooloolaba, Coolum, Peregian, Noosaville, Noosa Heads, Nambour and the Blackall Range.
For the commercial centre there is marketing agency work in Maroochydore, and Brisbane for businesses trading at both ends of the highway. Choosing between channels is handled on digital marketing on the Sunshine Coast, search alone at SEO agency on the Sunshine Coast, and the site at website design on the Sunshine Coast.
The first month, step by step
One call covering everything
What you sell, what a customer is worth, which towns you will drive to, and what you pay for now.
An audit of all of it at once
Site, profile, ads and social checked against each other, with the contradictions written down.
Fix, then spend
Whatever converts existing demand goes first. New traffic follows once it has somewhere decent to land.
One report, one number
Enquiries and cost per enquiry at the top, the work done underneath, and what changes next month.
Why Coast businesses keep us past the first quarter
One person answers for the whole account.
Not for the ads, or the site, or the search. For whether the number went up, which means nobody can point sideways when it does not.
We will tell you which channel to stop paying for.
Including ours. Recommending less is a short conversation that keeps a client for years.
Nothing holds you here.
Retainers are month to month, projects are fixed scope and fixed price, and the domain, hosting, ad accounts and analytics sit in your name.
"We tried an agency once and it went nowhere."
Most people we speak to have. Ask us at month three what changed and what it produced, then hold the answer against the plan we wrote in month one. That is a harder test than a monthly chart and it is the one we would rather be judged on.
