The short answer
Managed IT and web support means one supplier looking after your domain, hosting, email, backups, servers and website updates. AR Digital Solutions runs it from Brisbane, hosts in an Australian data centre in Sydney, responds in 1 to 3 hours, and works month to month.
What we look after
Domain registration.
Registered in your name, renewals watched, records where you can see them.
Web hosting.
Australian hosting in a Sydney data centre, with backups, certificates and updates included.
VPS solutions and server maintenance. Patching, monitoring and capacity for sites that have outgrown shared hosting.
AWS support.
We're AWS Certified, so the people who built your application run the infrastructure under it.
Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace. Mailboxes, licences, security settings and the migration between them.
Cloud storage and backup.
Backups restored in a test, not just written to a disk nobody checks.
Cloud PBX and VoIP.
Numbers, call routing and after hours handling.
SEO migration and GoHighLevel support. Platform moves without losing rankings, and day to day help inside your CRM.
What actually goes wrong, and what the four supplier problem costs
It's 4pm on a Friday and the site is showing a database error.
You ring the developer who built it. Voicemail, because he took an in house job eighteen months ago. You email the hosting company. Their desk is in a timezone where it's currently 2am, and the first reply lands Monday asking for an account PIN you've never had. The domain was registered by whoever built the previous site, using an email address at a business that no longer trades. Meanwhile your Google Ads keep spending, sending people to an error page, because the person with that login is on leave.
None of this is unusual. It's the standard shape of a small business technology stack: four suppliers, none of whom owns the outcome, and an owner in the middle relaying messages while the phone stays quiet.
What it costs.
Not the hosting bill. It's the weekend of lost enquiries, the ad spend burnt sending traffic to a broken page, and the hours you spend as an unpaid project manager. Then the rebuild you get talked into six months later because nobody could work out what the last person did.
What one accountable supplier changes.
When the same team holds the domain, the hosting, the site and the campaigns, nobody can tell you it's someone else's fault, because there is no someone else. We answer in 1 to 3 hours, and the person answering can look at the server, the code and the ad account in one session. That's usually the difference between a fix and a diagnosis.
Now the important part. Check who owns your domain.
Of everything on this page, this is the one that ends businesses. Losing control of a domain means losing your website, your email and often the phone number listed beside them. It's almost always preventable and takes ten minutes to check.
Look your domain up in a WHOIS search. A .com.au must be held by an entity with an Australian presence, usually an ABN or ACN, and the registrant details are meant to match that entity. Read the registrant name. It should be your business, not your web designer's business, not a former employee, not the agency that built the site in 2016.
Then check the contact email on the record, because renewal notices go there. If it belongs to someone who left, the first sign of trouble is your site going dark, and a lapsed domain can be picked up by anyone. Getting it back is slow and sometimes impossible.
Last, make sure you can log in to the registrar yourself. Being named as the owner without holding the password isn't ownership in any practical sense.
If any of that reads badly, fix it before spending another dollar on marketing. We'll run the check for free and tell you what we find, even if you never become a client. See domain registration.
How support runs
We audit what you've got
Where the site is hosted, who holds the domain, what's backed up and what's quietly costing you money.
We take over cleanly
Access transferred, records corrected into your name, DNS documented. You get the list, including passwords.
We monitor and maintain
Updates, patches, certificates, backups and uptime checks, before you notice rather than after.
We answer when you call
1 to 3 hours, from people who already know your setup.
Who this suits, and who it doesn't
It works for businesses whose website is a working part of the operation, anyone juggling separate hosting, domain and development suppliers, and offices wanting email and site support from one place.
It's a poor fit if you need on site IT for a large staffed network, or want us to maintain a site built on something we can't get into safely.
Why clients hand this over
Australian hosting, Sydney data centre.
Your data stays onshore and pages load faster for Australian visitors. Most competitors resell offshore hosting and can't say either.
We respond in 1 to 3 hours.
A number rather than a promise about fast response times. It's checkable, which is why we publish it.
One team, one account manager.
The people who host it built it. No ticket bouncing between a developer, a host and a contractor.
"We're locked into our current host."
Almost nobody is. Hosting is portable, domains transfer with an authorisation code, and we handle the move. If it would put rankings at risk we plan it as an SEO migration rather than pretend the risk isn't there.
