Google Ads Brisbane: ads that bring in calls and quote requests

Google Ads management in Brisbane should come down to one thing: how many people called or asked for a quote, and what each one cost. We set up and run Google Ads campaigns for Brisbane and South East Queensland businesses, with tracking you can trust and a report you can read in two minutes. Our team handles the build and the landing pages in-house, so nothing is handed off to a stranger.

Digital marketing: Google Ads reported in plain English.

The short answer

Google Ads management in Brisbane with proper conversion tracking, clean search terms and weekly plain-English reports on calls, quotes and cost per lead.

Where Google Ads fits in your marketing

Ads are the tap you can turn on today. SEO takes months, while a search campaign can put you in front of someone searching "tree removal Brisbane" this afternoon. The two work best together: ads bring leads while SEO grows.

But ads only rent attention. If the landing page is slow or confusing on a phone, you pay for the click and lose the customer. So we check your website and Google Business Profile before spending a dollar, and often pair search with Meta ads for businesses that sell visually.

Campaign types we use (and when)

Text ads shown when someone types a specific search. For most service businesses this is where the budget starts, because the person has already told Google what they want.

Performance Max

One campaign that runs across Search, Display, YouTube, Gmail, Maps and Discover. It suits ecommerce stores with a clean Google Merchant Center feed. For lead generation we use it carefully, because it will happily chase low-quality leads if you let it.

Display and YouTube

Useful for remarketing to past visitors and for video that explains a service. We rarely lead with these for a local trade.

Local Services Ads

Local Services Ads are only available in certain countries and business categories. We check whether your category is eligible in Australia at the time we plan, and only include them if it is.

Conversion tracking comes first

Without tracking, Google's bidding is guessing. We set up conversions in GA4 and Google Ads through Google Tag Manager, covering form submissions and phone calls. Where it fits, we add call tracking so we know which campaign produced each call.

We also switch on enhanced conversions, which sends hashed customer details (like an email address from a form) to help Google match conversions more accurately. We also check no conversion action is sitting on "inactive" or "misconfigured".

Fun fact

Google AdWords launched in October 2000 with about 350 advertisers. It was renamed Google Ads in 2018.

Search terms and negative keywords

The keywords you bid on and the searches you actually pay for are different things. We read the search terms report every week and add negative keywords for anything irrelevant: jobs, DIY, free, wrong suburbs, or services you don't offer. Broad match only runs where tracking is solid enough to guide it.

Campaigns structured so budget can move

We split campaigns by service line, not by one big bucket. Shopace, a Brisbane custom embroidery, printing and workwear business, runs separate campaigns for embroidery, printing and uniforms. When uniforms enquiries pick up, budget can shift there without starving the others, and we can see which service is actually paying its way.

Ultimate Car Expert in Jindalee competes against national servicing chains, so tight local targeting matters more than outspending anyone.

Budget limits and landing pages

If a campaign shows "Limited by budget", it's missing searches you'd probably want. Sometimes the answer is more budget. Often it's cutting waste so the same money covers more of the day.

Landing pages should match the ad. Someone searching "embroidered polo shirts" should land on a page about embroidered polos, with a quote form and a tap-to-call number. Our team builds these pages in-house.

Marketing tip

Open Google Ads this week, go to Insights and reports, then Search terms. Sort by cost and add any irrelevant searches as negative keywords. Ten minutes here often saves more than any bid change.

Weekly reports in plain English

Every week you get a short report that answers two questions: how many people called or asked for a quote, and what each one cost. Plus a few lines on what we'm doing next. No 40-page PDF of impressions.
