The short answer
We design and build websites for businesses in every Australian state from our in-house team in Pallara, Brisbane. Projects run by video call, with a staging link you can check from anywhere. Most five page sites cost between $900 and $2,500 at a fixed price, and take 1 to 2 weeks once your content is ready.
Why choose an Australian web design team
Offshore web design is often cheaper on the quote. Where it tends to cost more is later: a change request that waits overnight for a reply, copy written in American English, a checkout that doesn't handle GST properly, or a developer who disappears with the logins. None of that is guaranteed to happen offshore, and plenty of local agencies get it wrong too. But it's worth knowing who you can call when the contact form stops working on a Friday afternoon.
AR Digital Solutions Pty Ltd is an Australian company (ABN 32 686 188 661), set up in 2009 and led by Amann Jhamb. All 32 of our team are in-house at our Pallara office. The person who designs your site sits a few desks from the person who will look after it once it's live. Nothing is handed to a subcontractor overseas.
What that means for you in practice:
- Replies during Australian business hours, Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5:30pm Brisbane time
- Copy written in Australian English, with prices shown the way Australian customers expect, including GST
- Domain, hosting, Google and Shopify accounts set up in your name, so you can leave with everything
- A business you can check on the ABN Lookup and read 86 Google reviews about (4.9 stars)
How we build websites for clients in other states
Most of our web design clients never visit the office. The process is built for that, and it works the same for a café in Hobart as a builder in Ipswich.
Discovery call by video
A free 45-minute call about your customers, what the site needs to do and what you have already. You get a written, fixed-price quote afterwards.
Content collection
We send a shared folder and a checklist: logo, photos, service list, any existing copy and the logins for your domain and current site. If you'd rather not write the copy, we can write it for you.
Design approval on screen
We walk you through the homepage design on a screen share and take changes on the call. Nothing gets built until you've approved the look.
Build on a staging link
The site is built on a private link you can open on your own phone and laptop, and show to your business partner, wherever they are.
Launch and handover
We point the domain, test the forms and tracking, then record a short walkthrough of how to update your own pages.
Time zones are the one thing to plan around. Queensland doesn't use daylight saving, so from October to April our 8:30am start is 9:30am in Sydney, Melbourne, Hobart and Canberra, and 9am in Adelaide. Perth sits two hours behind us all year. We book calls to suit your end, not ours.
Meeting us in person
Our head office and in-house team are at 1 Cheshire St, Pallara QLD 4110, on Brisbane's southside. In Victoria, our sister company NDIS Website Designs & Marketing has an office we can meet at by appointment. Outside Brisbane and Victoria, everything happens by video call or phone, and in our experience the project runs just as smoothly.
Australian requirements your website should meet
A website is a public statement about your business, and a few Australian rules apply to it. This is general information, not legal advice, but these are the points we raise on every build.
Prices and Australian Consumer Law
Prices on your site must not mislead. If you advertise a part of the price, such as a base rate before a compulsory fee, the Australian Consumer Law expects the total price to be shown just as prominently. A "from" price should be one a customer can genuinely get. We lay out pricing pages and product listings with that in mind, and show prices including GST unless you sell only to other businesses.
Privacy policy
The Privacy Act applies to businesses with annual turnover over $3 million, and to some smaller ones, including health service providers. Even if you're exempt, a contact form collects personal information, so we link a privacy policy from every form that says what you collect and what you do with it. If you send marketing emails, the sign-up form should record consent and every email needs an unsubscribe link.
Accessibility
The Disability Discrimination Act covers websites, and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) are the standard most often referred to. We recommend WCAG 2.2 at level AA as the target. Our builds cover the basics as standard: readable colour contrast, alt text on images, a proper heading order and forms that work with a keyboard.
ABN and business details
Showing your business name and ABN in the footer, and on quotes and invoices sent from the site, is a simple way to show visitors you're a real Australian business. Licensed trades should also show their licence number where their state requires it in advertising.
What it costs and how long it takes
Every build is fixed price: the figure on your written quote is what you pay. We don't publish a price list, because scope varies too much, but these ranges cover most projects.
| Project | Typical cost |
|---|---|
| Five page brochure website | Most land between $900 and $2,500 |
| Shopify store | From around $2,400 |
| Care plan after launch (hosting, updates, security, small changes) | From $249 a month |
A typical small business website takes 1 to 2 weeks once content is ready. Stores and custom builds take longer, and your quote includes a timeline. The biggest delay on interstate projects is almost always content, so the checklist goes out on day one. For a fuller breakdown, see website costs in Australia.
Sites on a care plan are hosted on our own cPanel/WHM server, which runs more than 200 client websites. When something needs fixing, we're the host and the developer, so there's no back and forth between two companies. We're also a Shopify Partner for stores that need it.
Websites we have built outside Queensland
These clients had their websites designed and built by our team, with SEO running on top. The figures are SEO results from SE Ranking rank tracking on Google Australia, as stated on each case study.
- Success Immigration, a migration agency in Port Macquarie, NSW: 40 of 55 tracked keywords on page one by 17 September 2026
- Brij N Co, an exhibition stand and fitout company working in NSW, Victoria and Queensland: city pages for Sydney and Melbourne, now #2 for "exhibition stand sydney"
- EDSA Disability, an NDIS provider in Adelaide, SA: #1 for "ndis household tasks adelaide"
- Lucky Support Solutions, an NDIS provider in Western Sydney: 16 of 26 tracked keywords on page one
Through our sister brand NDIS Website Designs, we've also built for more than 150 NDIS providers. See all our case studies.
Platforms, industries and local pages
We build on WordPress, Shopify and custom code, and pick the platform based on who will update the site after launch. The detail is on our WordPress website design, Shopify website design and ecommerce website design pages.
Some industries have their own rules about what a website can say. Trades are the most common example, and our web design for tradies page covers licence numbers, quote forms and click-to-call. In South East Queensland, see web design Brisbane or website design Gold Coast.
A new website is the best time to set up search properly. If you want rankings to follow the launch, our SEO services Australia page explains how we carry on from the build.
