Why local, managed hosting matters

Australian web hosting on our own server
We run our own cPanel/WHM server that hosts 200+ client websites, mostly WordPress sites for Australian businesses.
- Data stays in Australia. Useful if your clients expect local storage, and it can help with page speed for Australian visitors. The server is located in Sydney, Australia.
- Backups. Daily automated backups kept for 14 days, plus weekly backups kept for 4 weeks, stored off-server.
- SSL certificates. Every site runs on HTTPS. Free AutoSSL certificates (Sectigo or Let’s Encrypt via cPanel), renewed automatically.
- Monitoring and updates. 24/7 uptime monitoring with alerts, weekly security patching, and monthly WordPress core, theme and plugin updates.
- Email hosting. Available on cPanel for smaller teams, with mailbox needs covered in your quote.
Pricing: hosting is quoted in writing after a quick discovery call, based on what your site needs.
Managed cPanel/WHM, bare metal with OVH Australia, and AWS Cloud
Not every business needs the same kind of hosting, so our team works across three setups and recommends the one that fits the job:
- Managed cPanel/WHM servers. The right fit for most business websites, WordPress sites and small stores. You get a familiar control panel, email, backups and AutoSSL, with us looking after the server.
- Bare metal servers with OVH Australia. Dedicated hardware in Australian data centres for busy sites, custom PHP applications and clients who want their own machine rather than a shared one. We provision, harden and maintain it.
- AWS Cloud infrastructure. For software products and sites that need to scale, we design and manage AWS setups: compute, managed databases, storage and CDN, with monitoring and cost control built in.
Whichever you choose, the same team handles setup, security patching, backups and monitoring, and your website, domains and email stay under one roof.
Website maintenance in Brisbane
A website needs regular care. WordPress plugins need updates, and forms need testing so enquiries don't quietly disappear. Our maintenance plans cover updates and security checks, plus small content changes when you need them. We'll quote a plan once we've seen your site.
Domain registration in Australia
We register and manage domains for clients, including .com.au and direct .au names. Here's how the rules work, set by auDA (the body that manages the .au domain):
- .com.au needs an Australian presence, such as an ABN or ACN. The name must also match or closely relate to your business name, trade mark or what you do.
- Direct .au (like yourbusiness.au) also needs an Australian presence, but without the requirement to match your business name.
We'll check your eligibility and keep renewals on track so a domain never lapses by accident.
Fun fact
The .au country domain was first delegated in March 1986. Australians have been able to register direct .au domains (like yourname.au) since March 2022.
Server setup and maintenance
Some projects need more than shared hosting. For custom applications, including those from our MVP development work, our team sets up and maintains servers built for the job, whether that is a bare metal server with OVH Australia or an AWS Cloud environment. That covers security hardening, ongoing patching, backups and monitoring, usually on the PHP and MariaDB stack we build with.
VoIP and virtual phone systems
VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) runs your business phone calls over the internet instead of a traditional line. It suits small teams well, because your office number can ring on a mobile or laptop app, wherever your staff are.
We help businesses across Australia choose and set up VoIP, including call routing and on-hold messages. We work with Aussie Broadband, DIDWW and 3CX, depending on what suits your team. One thing to know: VoIP phones usually stop working in a power or internet outage, so keep a mobile handy for Triple Zero (000) calls.
Email migrations: Google Workspace and Microsoft 365
Nobody wants lost messages or a day of bounced emails.
Google Workspace migration
We move mailboxes and calendars from cPanel email or another provider into Google Workspace. We plan the DNS changes (including MX records) for a quiet time so mail keeps flowing.
Microsoft 365 migration
The same careful approach applies to Microsoft 365. Old mail is copied across and staff get simple instructions for day one.
For both, we also check SPF, DKIM and DMARC records so your emails are less likely to land in spam. You'll get a written quote for the migration first.
Marketing tip
Send a test email from your business address to a Gmail account this week. Open it, click "Show original" and check that SPF, DKIM and DMARC all say PASS. If any fail, your quotes and invoices could be going to junk folders.
Website migrations with SEO preservation
