The short answer
Restaurant website design for cafes, restaurants and takeaways in Brisbane and SEQ. Text menus, commission-free online ordering, bookings and local marketing.
What diners want from your website
Most visits to a restaurant site happen on a phone, often while someone is deciding where to eat right now. They're looking for four things: the menu, opening hours, location and a way to book or order. If any of those takes more than a couple of taps, they'll pick somewhere else.
So we keep the homepage focused. Hours and address sit near the top, the menu is one tap away, and "Book" and "Order" buttons stay visible as people scroll.
Menus as text, not PDFs
PDF menus are one of the most common problems we see. They're slow to open on mobile, and search engines can struggle to understand them. When a diner searches "gluten free pizza near us", a text menu gives Google something clear to match.
We build menus as proper web pages with dish names, descriptions, prices and dietary tags. You can update them yourself in a few minutes.
Fun fact
Instagram began as a check-in app called Burbn before its founders stripped it back to photos.
Online ordering without heavy commissions
Third-party delivery apps bring you new customers, but their commissions can eat into margins on every order. A direct ordering system on your own website lets regulars order from you instead, and you keep the customer relationship.
Our team builds Online Food Ordering (Launched), an online ordering system for restaurants with menu management and pickup or delivery options. You can run it alongside the apps and nudge repeat customers towards ordering direct. See the products page or our ecommerce work for how we set up checkouts.
Bookings
A booking button works at 11pm when your staff don't. We can connect your site to the booking system you already use, or set up a simple request form for smaller venues. Confirmation emails and reminders help cut no-shows.
Google Business Profile menus and local search
For many diners, your Google Business Profile is the first thing they see, before your website. Google lets food businesses add menus, photos, hours and ordering or booking links right on the profile.
We set those up, keep them matched to your website and add Restaurant Schema.org markup so search engines understand your cuisine and location. This is the heart of local SEO for hospitality.
Events, functions and specials
Trivia nights, live music, set menus for Mother's Day and function packages all deserve their own pages. An events page gives you something to link from social posts and emails. Function enquiry forms should ask for date and guest numbers so you can reply with a proper quote.
Instagram and reels
Food is visual, and short video sells it better than almost anything. We help venues plan simple reels (a dish being plated or the coffee pour) and link them back to menu and booking pages. For paid reach, Meta Ads can target locals within a few kilometres of your venue. More on social media and video.
Marketing tip
This week, film three 10-second clips of your best-selling dish being made. Post one as a reel, pin it to your profile and add your booking link to your bio.
A local food example
We built a static website and a 50-article blog for Fresh Country Markets in Booval, a local food retailer. Regular, useful content gives search engines plenty to understand. The same thinking works for cafes and restaurants.
