The short answer
We design and build websites for businesses in Milton, on WordPress, Shopify, Webflow or custom code. The team of 32 is in house, hosting sits in a Sydney data centre, and there is no lock in contract. Trading since 2015, rated 4.9 from 96 reviews.
A suburb full of head offices, and what that does to a website
Milton carries a lot of commercial floor space on very little ground. Engineering consultancies, technology companies, agencies and the Australian head offices of businesses that operate everywhere else sit between Coronation Drive and the rail line, ten minutes' walk from the city. Suncorp Stadium sits at one end, the XXXX Brewery at the other, Park Road runs cafes through the middle, and Toowong, Auchenflower, Paddington and Rosalie start where the offices stop.
The thing that matters for your website is this. Almost nobody in Milton sells to Milton. The engineering firm is quoting work in the Bowen Basin. The software company is selling to Sydney and Auckland. Even the agencies mostly serve clients they have never met.
So the site is not a shopfront. It is the document a buyer reads after somebody has already given them your name, often on a phone on the platform at Milton station, and it has one job. Confirm that the recommendation was sound.
What a Milton office actually needs on the site
Four pages usually carry the weight. A team page with real names, photos and credentials that mean something to the person checking. Project pages that say what the problem was, what you did and what happened. A capability page a procurement officer can send upward without editing. And a careers page, because firms here compete harder for staff than clients.
Underneath that, the plumbing. Forms that land in your CRM rather than an inbox nobody watches. A tappable phone number. Page speed that survives 4G. Accessibility done properly, because tier one contractors and government buyers ask and most sites cannot answer.
Platform choice comes last. WordPress, Webflow, Shopify or custom code, decided mostly on whether the site has to talk to software you already run.
Your about page is doing more work than your home page
Most professional services sites get this backwards. The home page takes the attention, the budget and the argument about the hero image. Then you look at where a shortlisted buyer spends their time and it is the team page and one project page.
That person already knows they need what you do. They are checking whether you are real and whether hiring you is defensible if it goes wrong.
So: named people with real photographs rather than stock handshakes. Qualifications and years, written plainly. Projects with a client name where your agreement allows it, and the constraint described honestly, because a project that had no constraints is one nobody believes.
What to cut. The values page. The home page slider. The gated PDF that asks for an email before it says what you do. Put the capability document on an open page and let people forward the link.
Honest note on "website design Milton"
If you run a restaurant on Park Road, geography is a real part of how you get found. For the rest of Milton it is not. Nobody searching for a structural engineer in Mackay types the suburb your office sits in, so build the site to rank for the work you do rather than the postcode you do it from.
Where else we build
The same team builds across the Brisbane CBD and the inner west, including Toowong, Auchenflower, Paddington and Rosalie, and nationally from our service areas page.
How a build runs
Discovery call
What the site has to do and who reads it.
Fixed scope, fixed price
Pages, functionality and the number, agreed before anything starts.
Design and build
You see it in stages, so you can say no while saying no is cheap.
Launch and handover
Training, managed support if you want it, access in your name.
Three reasons to use us instead of a contractor
Fixed scope, fixed price.
You know the number before we start, and a change is a conversation rather than an invoice surprise.
Hosting is Australian.
Sydney data centre, and Managed Support responds in 1 to 3 hours.
There are 32 of us.
Designers, developers and content people in house, so a build does not stall because a freelancer took a holiday.
"Our current site looks fine."
Plenty do. Looking current and being built to get read are different problems, and the second shows up in whether people contact you afterwards.
