The short answer
We design and build websites for Geelong businesses on WordPress, Shopify and Webflow, from a four page service site to a full online store. Builds include Australian hosting in a Sydney data centre, training for whoever updates the site, and no lock in contract. Our team of 32 is in house, rated 4.9 from 96 reviews.
The city rebuilt itself on sheds and small contracts
Geelong stopped being a factory town last decade. The Ford engine plant closed, the Alcoa smelter at Point Henry closed, and the work that replaced them sits in hospitals, campuses, insurers and government departments. Same city on the map, running on something different underneath.
Less obvious from Melbourne is where the tradespeople went. They went out on their own. The business you meet now in Corio, North Geelong or Breakwater is often a shed with three utes out the front and a phone answered by whoever is nearest it. Fabrication, plant hire, refrigeration, civil, roofing, marine work off the back of the port. Their customers are builders putting up house after house at Armstrong Creek, homeowners in Newtown and Belmont, and people on the Bellarine at Ocean Grove or down at Torquay who will drive past a Melbourne supplier to use someone from Geelong.
Almost none of that buying happens at a desk. It happens one handed, on a phone, on a site with ordinary reception. That should decide nearly everything about the build, and on most of the sites we're asked to look at, it clearly decided nothing.
What a Geelong trade or service site has to do
Load quickly on mobile data, because a page that takes six seconds on the Bellarine has already lost to the next result. We build light, host in Sydney, and test on a real handset.
Put the phone number in the header as something you tap, and ask four things on the quote form: what the job is, which suburb, when it's needed, and a photo upload. That's a job you can price without ringing anyone back.
Give every service its own page instead of one page listing fourteen, and split the coverage the way you work, so Geelong, the Bellarine and the Surf Coast get separate pages rather than one sentence about covering the region.
Then the credibility layer: licence numbers, insurance, your ABN, and photographs of your own finished jobs. We build on WordPress when you want to add pages freely, Shopify when you're selling products and Webflow when design control matters more than plugins, with Australian hosting part of the build rather than a line item later. Trade and construction has its own industry page.
Proving you're actually from here
Geelong buys local on purpose. People ask where you're based before they ask what you charge, and a business that looks like it flew in from somewhere else gets a shorter hearing.
So name the town on the about page, with how long you've been trading and who runs the place. Use photos of jobs in streets people know rather than a stock image of a man in a hard hat. Put reviews beside the service they relate to, especially the ones naming a suburb. If you have a yard, put the address and the map on the contact page, because a real address is the strongest local signal you own.
The reverse also holds. A Melbourne operator running a Geelong page off a serviced office address gets found out, and losing a Business Profile over it takes months to undo.
Build decisions that show up in search six months later
Search results point at a website, so the build either helps or it doesn't. Page speed is a build decision. So is a page per service, since a page only ranks for what it is about. So is heading structure, schema, and linking the site to your Business Profile.
We set up Search Console and analytics at launch, and if you're replacing an existing site we handle the migration with redirects mapped page by page. Ongoing SEO in Geelong is separate work, but it starts from better ground.
Around Geelong, and down the highway
We work across the wider region and the corridor either side of it: Newtown, Belmont, Corio, Waurn Ponds and Grovedale, plus Ocean Grove and Drysdale on the Bellarine and Torquay on the Surf Coast. Up the freeway we run the same pattern for Manor Lakes and Mickleham, and the full list sits on our service areas page.
How a build runs
A call about the work, not the website
What you sell, who rings you, which jobs are worth having and which you'd rather not quote on.
Fixed scope, fixed price
Pages, features and dates in writing, so nothing appears halfway through as a variation.
Build on a staging link
You watch it take shape and comment as it goes, instead of waiting for a launch day reveal.
Launch, then a handover that sticks
Training for whoever updates it, hosting in Sydney, and someone who answers when it breaks.
Why Geelong clients pick us
Actual developers, in house.
32 staff, AWS certified, and the people who build the site also run the servers under it.
Australian hosting in a Sydney data centre.
Most agencies resell offshore hosting and can't tell you where the box is.
No lock in contracts.
The site is yours, the domain is yours, and you can leave with both.
"You're in Brisbane, not Geelong."
True, and our only office is at Pallara in southern Brisbane. You're not choosing between us and a Geelong designer on driving distance, you're choosing on whether the team has built this kind of site before and picks up the phone afterwards. Ask both of us for a client to ring.
