The short answer
We are an SEO agency working with Newstead businesses, with technical, content, local search and link work done in house by a team of 32. Retainers are month to month, reporting is monthly, and every account has one named manager. Rated 4.9 from 96 reviews.
Around here, the customer is already on the footpath
Newstead eats out. Between Gasworks Plaza, the Longland Street strip and the venues in converted warehouses toward Breakfast Creek, the suburb holds more restaurants, bars, cafes, gyms and studios than its size suggests, and most chase a customer who lives inside a couple of kilometres and walks or rides in.
That changes the search problem. Somebody standing outside at six on a Friday, choosing between you and the place two doors down, is not researching. They open the map, check the rating, the photo, whether you are open and whether there is a table at 7pm. The decision takes twenty seconds and most of it happens inside Google, not on your website. An agency that only talks about keywords and blog posts has misread what you sell.
Six questions that sort agencies out quickly
Ask every agency on your shortlist the same six. The answers separate them faster than proposals do.
- Who owns the Google Business Profile and the ad accounts? The only right answer is you, on your own login, with them added as a manager.
- Who does the work and where do they sit? Ask for the name of the person on your account and whether any of it is subcontracted.
- Who handles profile photos, review replies and the menu or class timetable? For a venue that is most of the job, and plenty of agencies quietly leave it to you.
- What is in the report, bookings and calls or only rankings and sessions?
- What is the contract length, and what happens to the work if we leave in month four?
- Show me an account like ours where it did not work, and say why.
The sixth matters most. Any agency can produce a winner. The ones worth hiring can explain a loss without blaming the client's budget.
The same six, answered about us
You own everything, on your logins. The 32 people doing the work sit in our office, nothing subcontracted out. Local search work sits inside the retainer for venue accounts rather than as an extra, review replies, photos, hours and timetable updates included. Reports carry calls, enquiries and booking clicks alongside rankings. Retainers are month to month and the work stays yours if you leave. On the sixth question, ask on the call. There are a couple, and the reason both times was the same: a site nobody would book on and a client who did not want to change it.
What our own address means for a Newstead account
We work from 1 Cheshire Street, Pallara, on the southside, our only office. For a Newstead venue that has two effects. We will not appear in your local map pack, which changes nothing about your account. And we are a 25 minute drive rather than a walk, so if you want somebody dropping in weekly we are the wrong shape. Monthly on site plus calls between is how accounts run.
What we will not do is open a second listing with a Newstead address to look closer. That breaches Google Business Profile guidelines and can cost you a listing.
Accounts elsewhere in the inner north
The same team runs accounts in Teneriffe, Fortitude Valley, Bowen Hills, New Farm and Hamilton, plus Brisbane and the rest of Australia. The method itself is on our SEO service page, and venue work on the hospitality page.

"We've been burned by an agency before."
Most people we speak to have been, usually the same story: attentive during the sale, quiet after. Ask us for two current clients to ring. Not a case study, a phone number.
