The short answer
An insurance broker needs a website that shows exactly which clients it helps, explains how the relationship works when a claim goes wrong, and carries its licensing details clearly. We design and build that site, run SEO, Google Ads and Meta Ads, and set up follow up for renewals. Your licensee signs off anything regulated.
Where we stand before anything else
AR Digital Solutions is a digital agency. We are not an insurance broker, an insurer or a licensed adviser, and nothing on this page is advice about insurance, cover or any product. Brokers hold the licence and the obligations that come with it. Our job is the website, the search work, the ads and the systems behind them, written to those obligations rather than around them.
In practice that means we write about your practice, your process and the clients you work with. We do not write about what a policy covers, what it costs or which product suits someone. Those are conversations between a licensed adviser and their client.
The problem with most broker websites
There is no product to photograph. A business owner cannot compare two brokers the way they compare two utes, so they fall back on gut feel and on whoever their accountant mentioned. Most broker sites respond with adjectives: trusted, professional, experienced. Every competitor uses the same words, so they cancel each other out.
What works instead is specificity. A page written about the operator with four utes and a yard of equipment, or the cafe that has just added an outdoor area, tells that reader you have handled their situation before. A page describing who picks up the phone when a claim is knocked back, what you gather and what the client does versus what you handle, answers the question every buyer is quietly asking.
A checklist for a broker website
We go through this list with each practice and its compliance contact before a single page goes live:
- Your AFSL number, or your authorised representative number and the licensee's details, shown clearly on the site.
- Your Financial Services Guide available to download, in the version your licensee has approved.
- Complaints handling information, including your external dispute resolution details.
- A privacy policy that covers the enquiry forms, call tracking and any CRM the site feeds.
- One page for each type of client you look after, in the words those owners use about their own operations.
- A claims page describing your process, not any policy's terms.
- Named brokers with photos and a sentence on the clients each one works with.
- A plain statement of who you are not the right fit for. It reads as honesty and filters out enquiries that were never going to convert.
- General advice wording, approved by your licensee, on any content that discusses insurance in general terms.
Item five is where most of the search value sits. Item eight is where most of the conversion value sits.
How business owners search for a broker
People rarely search for "insurance broker" and stop there. Here is a worked example of the pattern we plan around, using a Brisbane hospitality owner whose renewal has just arrived higher than expected.
The trigger
Their first searches are often reactive: "business insurance renewal went up", "do i need an insurance broker" or "insurance broker vs going direct". They want a plain explanation of what a broker does and how brokers are paid, not a sales pitch. A well written explainer page earns that visit.
The shortlist
Next come searches like "insurance broker for cafes brisbane", "hospitality insurance broker" or "business insurance broker near me". Here they expect a page that names their kind of business, a local address and phone number, reviews and a named person to speak to. A generic services list loses them.
The check
Finally they search your practice by name, often with "reviews". What they find on your Google Business Profile and on your about page decides whether they call. This is why we treat profile, reviews and broker bios as part of the same job as SEO. See local SEO Brisbane for how we handle the profile side.
What we did for Integrity Insurance
Integrity Insurance is a Brisbane broking practice. Their old site listed service names without explaining any of them, leaned on the same adjectives as every competitor and had almost nothing on social. The brokers were good at the job, and the website was quietly costing them work. We rebuilt it and now run website design, SEO, Google Ads and Meta Ads for them. The work included:
- A separate page for each type of business the practice works with, replacing a single services page.
- A cleaner identity carried through the site and social, with campaigns pointed at the new pages instead of the homepage.
- Get360 lead nurture: an automatic acknowledgement of every enquiry, alerts to the broker and structured follow up for leads that go quiet before a renewal date.
- A cleaned up Google Business Profile and a site structure that sends Brisbane searches to the right page.
Integrity reported website traffic up 60%, leads up 45% and lead to client conversion up 35%. These are client reported figures, not independently audited, and they reflect Integrity's market and team. The full write-up is in the Integrity Insurance case study.
Ads and follow up in a regulated category
Google Ads work well for brokers because the intent is clear: someone typing "business insurance broker brisbane" wants to talk to one. We point each campaign at the matching client-type page, keep ad copy to what the practice does and who it serves, and avoid claims about price or cover. See Google Ads Brisbane.
Meta Ads suit the slower side: business owners who are not shopping today but will be at renewal. Short pieces about how a claim is handled, or a broker introducing the kind of client they look after, keep your name familiar. The follow up matters as much as the ad. Because insurance runs on renewal dates, a nurture sequence that picks up again ahead of renewal often does more than another month of ad spend. Our CRM setup page covers how we build that.
Cost and first steps
We start with a free 45-minute discovery call with Amann Jhamb, followed by a written quote. Website builds are fixed price. SEO plans start from $900 a month, month to month with 30 days notice. We ask for your compliance contact early so sign-off is built into the timeline rather than added at the end. Book a call when you are ready.
