A One Curtains & Blinds: local SEO across 17 south-east Queensland suburbs

A One Curtains & Blinds is a Greenbank business that supplies and installs curtains, blinds and plantation shutters. Our team built a suburb-by-suburb local SEO campaign so the business shows up when people in Logan, Ipswich and the Redlands search for window furnishings near them. Alongside the search work we designed the website and run the Google Ads and Meta Ads campaigns.

The short version

When rank tracking started on 26 January 2026, 28 keywords were on page one of Google, among the smaller set tracked then. As of 17 September 2026, 286 of 385 tracked keywords are on page one and 196 are in the top 3. (Source: SE Ranking rank tracking, Google Australia.)

What we did for A One Curtains & Blinds

  • Website designDesigned and built in-house, structured for search from day one.
  • SEOOn-page, technical and content work with dated rank tracking.
  • Google AdsSearch campaigns managed month to month with plain-English reporting.
  • Meta AdsMeta campaigns run alongside the search work.

What we delivered

A One Curtains & Blinds did not hire one service. They hired a team that does website design, SEO, Google Ads and Meta Ads under one roof, so nothing falls between suppliers. We designed and built the website, structured for search from the first wireframe rather than optimised after the fact. The SEO programme runs on top of that: technical fixes, content written for the searches that actually turn into enquiries, and links earned in the client's own market. We also run the paid side, Google Ads for people already searching and Meta Ads for the people who are not yet, and report both in the same plain-English update as the organic numbers.

The result is a marketing setup the client can call one number about.

The client

The business works across the growing suburbs south and east of Brisbane, from Park Ridge and Yarrabilba to Springfield, Cleveland and Victoria Point. Its range covers roller, roman, venetian and motorised blinds, sheer and double curtains, and plantation shutters.

The challenge

Window furnishing searches are very local. People want someone who will come to their house, measure up and install, so they search with their suburb name. The catch is that most suburb and product combinations have too few searches for keyword tools to report a number. That makes them easy to ignore, even though together they add up to a steady flow of ready-to-buy customers.

The broad Brisbane terms, like “curtains brisbane”, are a different story. Plenty of established competitors chase them, so progress there takes longer.

What our team did

We chose 17 target suburbs and planned 20 product keywords for each one, giving 320 suburb and product combinations to track. Each suburb got its own location page on a clean /locations/suburb-name/ URL, written to E-E-A-T standards and linked to the matching product pages on the live site.

We wrote the content in the voice of an experienced local installer rather than a marketing agency. Our team also produced 50 blog articles and a 200-day social media plan.

On the tracking side, we set up daily checks on Google Australia with Google Maps tracking turned on. We also track 25 high-value Brisbane terms in their own group, so we can see the suburb work and the city-wide work separately.

Results

  • 28 keywords on page one on 26 January 2026, before the suburb keywords were added
  • 286 of 385 tracked keywords on page one today, with 341 in the top 30
  • 266 of the 319 suburb and product keywords on page one, 182 of them in the top 3
  • #2 for “blinds Springfield Lakes” and “venetian blinds Victoria Point” (about 10 searches a month each)
  • #1 for suburb terms such as “curtains and blinds Logan Reserve” and “roman blinds Birkdale”
  • #9 for “blinds and curtains brisbane” (about 320 a month) and #10 for “curtains brisbane” (about 590 a month)

The suburb pages did the heavy lifting. Most of those searches are small on their own, but ranking near the top for hundreds of them puts the business in front of local buyers every week. The Brisbane terms are moving more slowly, which is what we’d expect for competitive city-wide searches.

Fun fact

Google once tested 41 shades of blue to find the link colour people clicked most. Small details matter online, much like picking the right fabric shade for a living room.

Marketing tip (lesson learned)

Don’t skip a keyword just because a tool says it gets zero searches. Tools often can’t measure small suburb searches. Track your real position for a few weeks and let the results tell you which pages are worth building.

This campaign is a good example of local SEO done suburb by suburb. We work with businesses across Logan, the Redlands and Ipswich that want more local customers finding them on Google.
